Ghanchakkar, staged at Studio 2 of the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi, is a laugh-out-loud Urdu farce presented under the banner of the World Culture Festival – Karachi 2026, directed by Farhan Rahim. The play centres on a shy accountant who, on his way home, picks up the wrong briefcase — one packed with a fortune in cash. What follows is a spiralling evening of chaotic visitors (Arsal and Noreen), a persistent taxi driver, and two suspicious police detectives. Hysterical lies and frantic identity swaps pile on until the situation spins completely out of control.
