Hasptal Ka Haal Acha Hai

Hasptal Ka Haal Acha Hai, presented at Auditorium 2 of Arts Council Karachi as part of the World Culture Festival – Karachi 2026, is a witty and incisive social satire that takes audiences inside the chaotic world of a government hospital. The play is a translation by Yasmeen Ismail of a German work by Valker Ludwig, adapted in the signature style of GRIPS Theater. Grips Theatre Pakistan is the country's pioneering children's and social issues theatre group, founded in Karachi around 1980 by the late Yasmin Ismail in collaboration with the late Imran Aslam, with initial sponsorship from the Goethe-Institut. True to the Grips tradition, adult actors take on the roles of children to examine serious, real-world social problems through a lens that is innocent yet critically sharp.
