Music Workshop by María José Morales

Music Workshop by María José is part of the World Culture Festival – Karachi 2026, bringing Guatemalan soprano and cultural entrepreneur María José Morales to the Basement Studio of the Arts Council of Pakistan. In this session, Morales will share her journey building two pioneering organisations: TALENTO, a nonprofit providing music education and youth development programmes, and Querido Arte, an opera and arts production company. Drawing on these experiences, the discussion will examine how music education, artist development, cultural production, and audience-building can work in concert to create a sustainable cultural ecosystem. Audience: Artists, musicians, cultural practitioners, educators, producers, arts managers, arts organisations, funders, and policymakers are all welcome. Registration is mandatory. Entry is free for all. Festival Context: The World Culture Festival Karachi runs from 29 October to 22 November 2026.
