Sau Din Chor Kay is a fast-paced Urdu farce comedy theatre production presented at the World Culture Festival Karachi 2026, adapted by Babar Jamal and directed by Muhammad Hassan Raza, running for 120 minutes at Auditorium 1, Arts Council Karachi. The play follows Aamir Hassan, an unemployed man who has been secretly claiming government benefits by inventing fictitious tenants supposedly living in his house. What begins as a scheme to obtain extra money becomes an elaborate web of fraud that Aamir struggles to maintain. When the authorities begin investigating his claims, Aamir finds himself desperately inventing more stories, creating imaginary people, and recruiting those around him into his increasingly ridiculous explanations. His wife Samra is largely unaware of the extent of his deception, while a series of visitors — including officials investigating the claims, an undertaker, a bereavement counsellor, a psychiatrist, Irshad's fiancée, and other unexpected arrivals — each bring new complications, forcing Aamir to invent fresh explanations to protect his original lie. His Uncle (Mamu) also becomes involved, adding yet another layer of confusion as the characters struggle to maintain their various pretences.
